You can download the free Get To Know Your Classmates Bingo from my TeachersPayTeachers store by clicking the green box below.
I’ve made each of the two versions available to print in both color and black and white. The great thing about these bingo cards is they can promote team bonding both in person or remotely. Maybe you need an easy team building activity for your workplace. The teacher has an opportunity to observe their new students interacting and can even play along too. Students get to move around the room, meet new people, strategize their game, and share about themselves. Maybe it is the first day of school and you want a fun way for your students to connect. This first-day activity is great way to start the school year in a fun and welcoming way. It’s such a fun community-building activity. Get-to-know-you bingo cards offer a great tool to break the ice with a new group of people. You can ask the prompt to the whole class and have them raise their hand if it’s them.Īs a class, you can see if you can fill in the entire bingo card by finding a classmate that meets each prompt. Our first day of school has abbreviated classes because there is an assembly and extended homeroom time for distributing paperwork, etc. The first to sit down with the grid complete is the class. Students find at least one person in their class that can answer ‘yes’ to the statements in the grid. Use this teaching resource in the classroom as a getting to know you activity at the start of the school year. For this version, you can play as a whole class. A fun activity for students to play when getting to know their peers. The second option bingo card has only the prompt in each square. The following three pages have two filled-in Bingo cards and one blank. Suggestion: offer prizes for the first three students to Bingo, and/or the first student to completely fill his or her card. You can have them just fill in a row for bingo or you can take it further and do a fun different bingo shape or even a blackout! The object is to be the first to get a traditional bingo (horizontal, vertical, diagonal) and/or the first to entirely fill up the card. They can fill in the classmate’s name on the line when they find someone who meets the prompt in the box. The first option has lines in each bingo square for the students to walk around and ask their classmates the questions. Things such as someone that is new to the school, someone that read 5 books or more over the summer to someone that loves to swing at recess.
FIRST DAY OF CLASS BINGO FULL
The bingo card is full of fun questions about their classmates.
